Jazzamuri was born in Sicily from the meeting of professional musicians sharing a solid jazz background and a clear artistic vision, designed to go beyond the classic concept of a wedding band. We are a premier wedding & events band in Sicily and worldwide focusing on sonic quality and elegance.
Before being a musical service, Jazzamuri is an ensemble with its own sonic identity, developed through original arrangements and a conscious artistic journey. Our live music for weddings, private and corporate events in Catania and worldwide stands out for its sophisticated arrangements and professional approach.
The connection with Sicily is an integral part of the project. Alongside jazz, swing, and international vintage repertoire, Jazzamuri reinterprets traditional Sicilian and Italian songs, transforming them into personal, elegant, and contemporary arrangements. Every song is built on the group's unique sound and the desired atmosphere for each moment of the event.
The artistic direction is led by guitarist Carmelo Venuto, alongside lead singer Silvia Puglisi, who manages client relations and event organization. This dual leadership ensures musical consistency and constant attention to the needs of couples, companies and private clients seeking high-end live music in Sicily and beyond.
Live performance reveals the most authentic essence of Jazzamuri: jazz as a language made of listening, interplay, and expressive freedom. The dialogues between the wind section, the rhythmic section, and the solos reflect a background matured in significant international artistic contexts and festivals.
The presence of two women on stage is a distinctive feature of the project: Silvia, a lead vocalist with great interpretive experience, and Doris, a trumpet player and vocalist. Doris alternates between solo parts, intricate play with the saxophone, and choral interventions, contributing to a rich and constantly evolving sound.
The identity of the project is also captured in the album 'Pop Reloaded', available on Spotify, which defines the Jazzamuri sound and distinguishes it in the landscape of jazz bands for destination weddings. This work showcases our continuous musical research.
Jazzamuri offers various musical line-ups, designed to accompany every phase of the event with style and continuity: Vintage Roaming Band (acoustic and itinerant), Elegant Live (electric for dinner and party).
The project's philosophy excludes intrusive animation or 'disco-style' setups. Jazzamuri proposes an elegant sound, present but never invasive, capable of naturally accompanying the event. When needed, the repertoire opens up to dance sets inspired by the 1950s and 60s vintage style for classy entertainment.
